Capcom has announced that the Western release of its upcoming We Love Golf!, anticipated for a Summer 2008 launch on the Wii, will support online head-to-head play. Additionally, Capcom will add two new characters exclusive to the Western edition with unlockable character costumes. Players can also select from Capcom themed characters including Street Fighter's Chun Li, Resident Evil's Jill Valentine, Arthur from Ghosts 'n Goblins, and others. The title is being developed in partnership with Camelot Software (Hot Shots Golf, Mario Golf), and was first announced in September 2007. In addition to the Western online modes, We Love Golf! includes single player and up to four-player head-to-head competitions, and will require players to contend with fairway physics factors like wind speed and direction to choose their clubs accordingly. Telecast-style presentations will let players see their shots in the air or approaching the hole, and Capcom also promises multiple game modes ranging from tournament, training, special mini-game style challenges and more.
