Officials from Atari have announced the closure of its Minneapolis studio, better known as developer WizardWorks. The closure of the studio, best know for the million selling title Deer Hunter will involve nineteen layoffs According to Atari spokesman Nancy Bushkin the closure will enable the company to streamline its operations and eliminate redundancies in support functions, as the company attempts to house a greater number of resources in fewer locations. Development work on future iterations in the Deer Hunter and Dirt Track Racing series will now be handled by the company’s Beverly, Massachusetts studio. Source: GameSpot
