Representatives from German publisher 10tacle have announced that the company has acquired a majority shareholding in London based developer Blimey! Games. The team of 45 developers has previously specialized in racing simulations such as GTR – FIA GT Racing and GT Legends. The developer is currently working on a sequel to GTR, as an independent subcontractor to Simbin in Sweden. "We couldn't be happier" said Ian Bell, CEO at Blimey! Games and former Head of Studio at SimBin. "Our successful history and great relationship with 10tacle has made this alliance an obvious choice. 10tacle's significant investment in Blimey! Games underscores the strength of this relationship, their faith in us to continue delivering award-winning products, and our commitment to bring extraordinary new experiences to the explosive next-gen market." "With this shareholding, 10tacle Studios underlines its claim to develop internationally outstanding top-quality racing games. The publisher has so far specialized in PC titles, including a number of racing simulations. The company also recently acquired the somewhat unlikely official license for the annual German public festival Oktoberfest.
