Well, they say be careful what you wish for. In my case, it's showed up in spades!
For those of you who know me, you'll remember I've had this videogame concept I've been shopping about for a while now. Its gone through several forms, each reflecting a change in the market and my own maturity within the industry. Now. Finally, it has a home. Not a self-funded indie sort of home, but a real publisher, with actual funding and an actual timeline, schedule, milestones and all the glorious constraints that come of working for THE MAN.
So the idea I've been hammering on for wat seems like forever now has to push past the gauzy curtain of "what-if" and into cold, hard fact and that moment is a decidedly scary one. This is my own concept, not something I'm developing on behalf of another, more established mind, and as such it's all my own da** fault if the vision on the screen fails to live up to the vision in my head.
And the wierd thing is, I have absolute confidence that it will somehow turn out even better than what I had in mind when I first came up with the idea years ago.
