In Sweden, beading with pearls has become extremly popular during 2016. And it's not mainly among youngsters - no, this is one of the fastest growing adult hobbies in Sweden during the past year.

It is mainly one man who has been a prominent figure in this bead revolution; His stage name is "Pappas Pärlor" (Dad's Pearls), but his real name is Johan Karlgren.

In 2014 he began to bead along with their two children. The children eventually lost interest, but for Johan it escalated. He started an Instagram account, a Facebook page and while the interest grew among the public, he realized that he needed to start his own business in order to sell his art.

He has mainly focused on pixel-art from the video game world, but also works with portraits and restoring old paintings.
