Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl have sold 13.97 million units combined since launching on November 19, 2021.

The remake has become the ninth best-selling Switch title in history since launching just over two months ago, joining fellow Pokemon titles Let's Go Pikachu, Let's Go Eevee, Sword, and Shield in the top-selling charts.

Nintendo reported an 1.8 percent uptick in software sales over the past nine months, and said both new releases and catalog titles continue to play their part. 

For instance, both Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons are continuing to sell well, shifting 7.96 million units and 4.99 million units respectively during the current fiscal year.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe remains the top-selling Switch title as it stand, having sold 43.35 million units to-date. It's flanked by other top-sellers including Animal Crossing: New Horizons (37.62 million), Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (27.4 million), The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (25.8 million), and Pokemon Sword/Shield (23.9 million).
