Galaxy on Fire studio Fishlabs has had a rough several months, first undergoing creditors' protection proceedings under self-administration, then laying off a good portion of its staff. Now the Hamburg-based company has been bought out by fellow German company Koch Media. The Fishlabs Entertainment team will be folded into Koch Media, with all 52 employees continuing to work out of the Hamburg site, but under the Koch Media name. Meanwhile, PocketGamer.biz reports that Fishlabs co-founders Michael Schade and Christian Lohr have left the company following the buyout. Koch Media is no stranger to buyouts, as the company purchased the rights to the Saints Row franchise, its developer Volition, and the rights to the Metro series earlier this year.
