Haven Studios co-founder Sebastien Puel has departed the Sony-backed developer after less than a year.

The nascent studio was established last year by Ubisoft Toronto and Motive Studios founder Jade Raymond, and immediately landed an undisclosed investment from Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Puel, who previously served as general manager of Stadia Games and Entertainment, joined Haven shortly after and is listed as a co-founder on Linkedin.

As reported by GamesIndustry.biz, however, the industry veteran has now departed the company after just 10 months.

"It's with great sadness that we share the studio departure of a founding Haveneer, Seb Puel," said Haven in a statement to GI.biz. "Seb is a rare talent who's career and track record as a leader speak for themselves and we will miss his energy and enthusiasm as we continue our journey at Haven. Seb remains a dear friend to the Haven team and we wish him the very best in his next adventures."

Haven is currently working on a new original franchise for PlayStation.
