Core-focused social game developer and publisher Kabam has acquired independent studio Fearless Studios, the company revealed Friday. Employees of Fearless, which was founded in 2010 by former Lucasarts producer Haden Blackman (writer and producer of its Force Unleashed series) and engineering director Cedrick Collomb, will immediately join Kabam's staff. The terms of the deal were not disclosed by Kabam. When we last heard from Fearless, the company was creating a game for HP's doomed WebOS platform. The company has been silent since that announcement. Fearless' project or projects for Kabam were also not disclosed, though the company stressed in a statement that the acquisition would strengthen the company's place in an online gaming market as it "transitions to higher fidelity, 3D gameplay." As well, Blackman said that the marriage will enhance Fearless' "vision for creating story-driven action games."
