EDIT: The survey has now completed successfully!  Thanks to all who participated.  We'll be publishing our conclusions on Gamasutra in December 2014.  In the meantime, follow us on Twitter at @GameOutcomes!

The blog has been on hold for a while as I've been helping build Mothership Entertainment in Austin for the last year (official announcement coming soon!)

In my spare time, I've also been helping to create a unique new study on teamwork and culture with a team of five producers from the IGDA Production SIG (with help from an advisor from the Wharton School of Business).  If you’re a game developer with at least one team project under your belt, please help us by taking a 15-20 minute survey about your most recent team project in the industry:

The Game Outcomes Project

is a first-of-its-kind experiment to statistically evaluate game development efforts across hundreds of game teams and generate insights as to how teamwork, culture, leadership, and production practices contribute to the success or failure of game development projects.

Currently, there’s little or no actual data on how different factors such as crunch/overtime, production methodologies, or team size impact the success or failure of projects in the game industry.

We hope to change that!

With your help, we hope to gain insights at to what factors produce the greatest risks in game development, what best practices development teams can follow to better manage the risks they face, and what game development teams can do to enhance their effectiveness.

Take the survey here --- >> https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FDGPLL5 <<

Please help spread the word!  Our goal is 1000 responses, and every response counts.  The survey takes roughly 15-20 minutes to complete.

Share the survey with your colleagues, and follow us on Twitter at @GameOutcomes.

The Game Outcomes Project was designed by an independent team and is not affiliated with the IGDA, the annual IGDA Developer Satisfaction Survey, Gamasutra, or any other survey or organization.
