No one gave me a map with a path to a job in the game industry marked on it when I finished my second degree.  I had to create the path myself.  To do this, I have been continuously applying to open game audio jobs whenever I see them and continuously working on new projects for my portfolio.  My latest project is the topic of this blog post.

I recently finished composing a piece entitled Overture for Genaventura, and my latest project is creating an orchestral recording of this piece so I can show the world what I can do.  Hiring an orchestra takes money though, and so I have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise the money I need to hire the Awesome Orchestra to record the piece for me.

Should the Kickstarter be successful, I'll be recording the orchestra at my alma mater, Ex'pression College, in Emeryville, California in late January.  I've put together a team of current students, alumni, and creative professionals who will assist me in recording the orchestra and filming the recording session, and together we are building the plan for how we'll run the recording session.

If you want to know more about the project, I encourage you to visit my Kickstarter page, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1074438680/overture-for-genaventura

Thanks for reading.
