Valve has compiled an extensive Steam Deck FAQ that attempts to answer the most pressing questions developers and publishers will have about creating for its portable console.

The FAQ is based on some of the most common queries Valve received during the Steamworks Virtual Conference, and tackles everything from dev-kit status to Steam's work with other leading game engine developers and the Steam Deck compatibility review process.

There's a fair bit to digest, but it's a resource well worth checking out if you're a developer or publisher hoping to support Steam Deck at launch or further down the line.

Outside of the written FAQ, Valve has also uploaded video recordings of each Steamworks Virtual Conference talk on its YouTube channel, including an APU deep dive with AMD, a Steam Deck Hardware overview, a Steamworks Quick Tips series, and much more.

The Steam Deck was originally scheduled to launch later this year, but will now be debuting in February 2022. Valve explained "global supply chain issues" were responsible for the delay.
