Graphics Programmer, Gearbox Software

Location: Plano, TX Gearbox Software is looking for experienced rendering programmers to enhance and maintain the graphics systems of our cutting edge projects in development. You'll be working directly our advanced technical minds and collaborating with a broad set of team members including gameplay programmers, artists, game designers, and level designers. Qualifications B.S. in Computer Science or other similar discipline (Physics, Math, EE, etc.) and/or 4 years of game industry experience. Strong C++ skills. Knowledge of cross-platform development principles and practices. Thorough knowledge of multi-threading practices and pitfalls. Must be able to work well in a team environment. Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills. Must be willing to be flexible with tasks and responsibilities. Proficient in the application of 3d math, rendering algorithms and data structures. Excellent knowledge of a broad range of graphics APIs and shader languages including DirectX / HLSL and OpenGL / GLSL. Desired Skills: Creativity in problem solving and the ability to think outside of the established solutions. Experience with console engineering and a working knowledge of next-generation best practices. Expertise with Compute Shaders. Experience with GPU/CPU profiling tools and hardware architecture related to optimization. Interested? Apply now.
