Hydrofoil Generation to Feature Official Global Racing League SailGP Content

Milan, Italy - 24th October, 2023. Indie publishing label HOOK is thrilled to announce that Hydrofoil Generation, the exhilarating hydrofoil boat racing simulation game, will now feature SailGP’s F50 race boats and team liveries in the full V1.0 launch after entering into an official license agreement with the global league. 

On release, global players enjoying the most accurate sailing simulation will now be able to experience the world’s most exciting racing on-water, first-hand, with SailGP’s high tech, hydrofoiling F50’s – that are capable of speeds close to 100 km/h – now included in the game. 

Hydrofoil Generation is currently available in Steam Early Access, with the full launch scheduled for early November. 

Developed by Jaxx Vane Studio, Hydrofoil Generation is a passion project from Stefano "kunos" Casillo co-founder of Kunos Simulazioni, the globally acclaimed studio behind the racing simulation masterpiece Assetto Corsa. Casillo is back with his two-person development show creating a super accurate first-person simulation of multiplayer "in-shore" regattas. 

Commenting on the official SailGP license feature, Stefano Casillo said: "The entire idea of Hydrofoil Generation started with me and Chax Duero (3D artist and 50% of the Jaxx Vane Studio) watching SailGP races. Having the official boats in the game feels like closing the circle."

Hydrofoil Generation puts you in the driving seat of state-of-the-art hydrofoils, including the high-tech, high-speed F50s used in SailGP, modelled with unprecedented accuracy to replicate the exhilarating experience of ‘flying’ over the water at speeds of nearly 100 kmph. Take control of your boat and fine-tune the sailing mechanics of your foils to reduce drag and increase your speed. Customise your craft to overcome the demands of the changing winds, sea conditions and currents as you compete against up to 10 opponents in thrilling multiplayer racers in exciting locations such as Bermuda and Chicago. Thanks to Hydrofoil Generation’s demanding and realistic simulator mechanics, the fine line between speed and capsizing is a continual threat and will not only push your sailing skills but your vessel to the very limit.
