Since the Early Access launch of Flashing Lights back in June 2018, for PC and Mac, the game itself and the passionate community has grown exponentially. The online multiplayer emergency services simulator has sold over 250,000 copies to date and, as of time of writing, sits at 83% positive recent Steam reviews.

The hotly anticipated new map update launches today, delivering a completely revamped game world with plenty of new areas for players to explore. Developer Nils Jakrins has introduced two suburbs, two rural towns, a marina, a desert and farm fields – plus a new vegetation system.

Alongside this, all missions for police, fire and EMS departments have now been ported over from the old map to the new map. While exploring the new map, players can also enjoy optimisations, frame rate improvements and bug fixes.

Now that we have fully transitioned to the new map we will be focusing on two core pillars. First of all, improving the quality of existing content and implementing bug fixes. Second, adding new content such as:

- New map area: Suburbs with interiors
- New callouts specifically designed for the suburban area
- Rural towns with additional police, fire and EMS buildings
- Traffic stop update with vehicle search and drug tests
- Fire system rework, hose system update, plus a fire engine
