DBolical | Melbourne, Australia - August 14, 2022 today marks the final day of ModDB's 20th Anniversary celebration, with the results from 20 days of community voting on some of the most iconic mods from our history revealed. In total we showcased 100 mods (each had placed top 10 or better in our Annual Mod of the Year Celebration), across five categories.

Classics - Results

Total Conversion - Results

In-Universe - Results

Multiplayer - Results

Modern - Results

All up over 15,000 players voted. It's amazing to think how different the games industry would be without mods. Would we still be playing RTS and Deathmatch FPS if DotA, Counter-Strike, Team Fortress and other iconic mods didn't introduce a range of innovation that bucked so many trends at the time.
Congratulations to every mod featured in the celebration for making incredible mods for us to enjoy, and thanks for your support in helping us generate buzz and promotion for this exciting, once-in-a-lifetime eventĀ
