Astral Ascent Soundtrack by Dale North Now Available

Scarlet Moon Promotions | SAN DIEGO - November 13, 2023 - Scarlet Moon is pleased to release composer Dale North's soundtrack to the gorgeous and fast-paced roguelite, Astral Ascent. The score accentuates the majestic beauty of the game world as well as the intense boss battles with the Zodiacs, featuring live orchestra and vocals by Emi Evans (NieR, Dark Souls, Star Wars Visions). Listeners will enjoy hearing the exploration, combat, and boss battle music heard in each of the game's diverse areas of the astral prison know as the Garden. The score is available digitally and all streaming platforms today, with the game's official release date coming tomorrow, November 14, 2023. A physical vinyl edition of the score will be available in the near future:

Astral Ascent is a 2D platformer roguelite game set in a modern fantasy world. As one of four heroes with very different personalities, escape from the Garden, an astral prison guarded by 12 powerful and vicious bosses, the Zodiacs. Unlock dozens of unique spells for each character, optimize a build or try out new ones to take on the Zodiacs. Get stronger with each match-up that will continually test skill and reactivity. Astral Ascent will leave Steam Early Access on November 14, 2023.

About Dale North

Dale North is a composer, arranger, and orchestrator for videogames, based in San Diego. As a multi-instrumentalist (piano, vocal, brass), performer, and singer- songwriter with an international training, he brings a unique voice to videogame music.
 

Dale's music mixes traditional instrumentation with vintage colors, blending live pianos and orchestral tones with the synthesizers and sound sets that shaped the sounds of games from the Super Nintendo and PlayStation eras. His upbringing in Tokyo, Japan helped shape his melodic sense (and his love of synthesizers), and he continues to hold the traditions of game music in the highest regard. He's best known for his work on RWBY: Arrowfell, Wizard of Legend, Wargroove 2, Dreamscaper, Sparklite, and Nintendo Minute.
 

Dale looks forward to working on projects that favor creativity and seek to honor game music's rich heritage.
