Independent developer Tilted Mill (SimCity Societies) has announced that the enhanced PC version of Children of the Nile, its recently regained city sim management IP, has been added to Valve digital distribution platform Steam. Gamasutra recently talked with the developer about the reacquisition of its license from Myelin Media and Sega, and its plans to re-release the game with new content. The new version of the game just released via Steam includes that content, support for Vista, plus a number of UI and gameplay changes company founder Chris Beatrice said improved "the game’s balance, pacing and general feel." The developer also notes that players who already own the original title can receive all updates to the game for free by visiting the developer's website. Said Beatrice in a statement, "Tilted Mill is committed to advancing the Children of the Nile franchise as an independent studio with the release of the Enhanced Edition, and we are bringing the CotN experience to a whole new audience of players by expanding our distribution network with the leading online platform for PC Games, Steam."
