The agreement between the two companies gives Hip's wholly owned division, SJS Group, responsibility for all Sega distribution in the country. The deal will reportedly generate approximately $15 to $20 million of revenue for Hip in this fiscal year.
Hip has been a Sega partner before, distributing brands like Sonic and Sega Sports. Going forward, Sega and SJS will embark upon a major advertising campaign, which will include television and other media across Canada.
