NewsCasual and social gaming portal MyGame.com announced that it will add more than 1,000 new games through a partnership between its parent, King.com, and Mochi Media’s recently-announced online games advertising network, MochiAds. Through the partnership, developers on the MochiAds network receive a percentage of advertising revenue for each play of a game on the site through around-game advertising. The MochiAds network supports over 1,000 game developers, enabling them to insert around-game advertising into their games. The ads show as games are discovered and virally distributed across blogs, social networks and other sites like MyGame.com by consumers of online games. The advertisements are pre-game and inter-level, displaying to users during natural breaks in game play. In addition to more games, MyGame.com has sorted and highlighted its games so they can be displayed showing the three latest uploaded games by genre or popularity. All of the games include a thumbnail, game description, category, key words and popularity index, so that developers can track how often their game is played. King.com co-founder Toby Rowland said, "We want MyGame.com to be the place where novice and professional game developers can make the best per-play revenues and where users can discover and play the most entertaining online games. Our partnership with MochiAds provides MyGame.com players with new games and game developers with the opportunity to increase their revenues by sharing in the proceeds of around-game advertising.”
