Luxology, LLC, the creators of modo, a subdivision surface and polygonal 3D modeling platform, has announced changes to modo’s end-user license agreement, which allows a user to work on both Mac and Windows versions of the application, using the same license, when they purchase modo. Brad Peebler, president of Luxology, LLC, commented on this announcement: "We license modo to an individual, not a machine. Many 3D designers appreciate the ability to move back and forth between platforms; for example between a PC workstation and Mac laptop. Luxology’s allows their licensed users to do this quickly and easily. It’s all about trust." The company also currently offers an unrestricted production-ready evaluation of modo, free to use for 30 days, and available for download at the official modo website.
