Netherlands based developer Streamline Studios (HoopWorld) has announced that former EA senior marketing manager David C. Lee has joined the company as its new VP of development and marketing, as the company sets out to expand its core business. Prior to joining Streamline, Lee has had 20 years of experience, including over 10 at Electronic Arts, where he served as PR director, senior marketing manager, and managing editor and over saw the launch of Harry Potter, NASCAR, and NBA Live franchises. He has also subsequently worked as a consultant for Activision, SEGA, EA, LucasArts, and developers and publishers, including Streamline itself since 2006. Apart from its previously announced Xbox Live Arcade title HoopWorld, the company serves as a contracted co-developer on a number of titles. In February, Streamline CEO Alexander Fernandez talked with Gamasutra about its recent announcement that it would be creating 3D content service solutions for Epic Games' upcoming Unreal Tournament 3. Said Lee, “Streamline Studios is well positioned to become a driving force in the gaming industry as we partner our skill in engineering art and content creation with experience in distributed development and IP building. After helping the studio focus its marketing and branding efforts I have turned my attention to launching our HoopWorld IP and making our next moves in game development.”
