Emergent Gets Kuju Vet Cox As EMEA Dev Relations Head

Game engine company Emergent has hired former Kuju Chemistry studio head Mike Cox as its director of developer relations for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) territories. He'll now manage the EMEA sales team, build the company's presence in Europe and the UK and head up territory support and custom development strategies globally. Chemistry is an Unreal-exclusive studio, and in addition to his role there, Cox has worked with Electronic Arts, credited with almost 50 titles over the course of his career, according to Emergent. Additional new duties for Cox will include consulting with studios planning to use Emergent's technologies, such as the Gamebryo LightSpeed platform, and building relationships with possible publisher partners and middleware providers. Says Katie Morgan, Emergent VP of sales and marketing: "As Emergent begins shaping the new face of AAA games and drives to deepen our relationship with the development community, we look to Mike to lead the charge in EMEA to provide an unprecedented level of support throughout the development process."
