Xbox Live is approaching the fifth anniversary of its North American launch, which took place on November 15, 2002 on the original Xbox, and Microsoft has announced its "Xbox Live Is 5ive" celebration, a series of online, community-focused events on the Xbox 360's Live service to celebrate the date. On November 15th, the events will kick off with the "Game With Fame" competition, which offers Xbox Live users the chance to play against the dev teams of Halo 3, Skate, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas, Guitar Hero III, Team Fortress 2 and many others on their associated Live titles to win accessories, subscriptions, Microsoft Points and other prizes. Other events include Frag Doll Friday, where players can compete with Ubisoft's girl gamers at Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, and the Xbox All Nighter, where community members can play Return to Castle Wolfenstein from sundown on Saturday to sunup on Sunday. Finally, Xbox Live will offer LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga on its regularly-scheduled Tuesday Family Game Night. Said an official statement on the Xbox website: "From the very first days of the technical beta test, the history of Xbox Live has been full of great games, innovative features, friendships, rivalries, trashtalk, and laughter. Here's to YOU, the members of the community that make Xbox Live the ultimate gaming arena."
