In an interview with Reuters, Vivendi Universal’s COO Jean-Bernard Levy has clarified the position of Vivendi Universal Games, in the light of yesterday’s announcement of a merger between Vivendi Universal Entertainment and General Electric’s NBC television network. The video game unit is not a part of the merger and the parent company now has no plans to sell the division. Instead, Levy has indicated that the unit will focus on software for current and next generation consoles.
