With the last major releases of the season accounted for, the UK video game sales charts have begun to solidify, with only the impact of the release of the King Kong and Chronicles of Narnia movies likely to affect the top ten further. Need for Speed: Most Wanted remains the favorite to become the Christmas number one, though, especially given its boost from the recently released Xbox 360 version. Overall, the release of the Xbox 360 has had minimal impact on the UK charts, with Perfect Dark Zero at number twelve being the highest-ranked exclusive. Despite this, the Xbox 360 has proved to be the fastest selling home console of all time in the UK, beating the previous record holder, the GameCube, with an estimated 70,000 units sold in the opening weekend. In addition, the Premium version of the console outsold the Core version by a ratio of 2:1. Limited by stock, though, the performance is well below the 180,000 launch sales for the PSP in the UK and the 87,000 for the Nintendo DS. The second highest ranking Xbox 360 title in the charts is Project Gotham Racing 3 at number sixteen, with Sega's Condemned at number thirty-six and Quake 4 (whose sales are combined with the PC version in the UK charts) at number thirty-nine. Kameo: Elements of Power is one of only five of the fifteen launch titles not represented in the top forty. The only non-Xbox 360 related new entry of the week, and the last major release of the year beyond unknown quantity Crazy Frog Racer, is The Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones at number twenty-nine.
