The UK games industry continues its summer hibernation, with no significant new entries in the UK game sales top twenty, beyond budget re-releases such as TimeSplitters: Future Perfect at number seventeen. There has been movement at the top of the charts, though, with Madagascar regaining its position at the top, to make for three movie licensed games in the top five. With the UK consumer seemingly not put off by negative reviews, the relatively poor critical reception to top ranked games such as Charlie and The Chocolate Factory and Fantastic 4 do not seem to have stopped the titles from selling. There are again no full price titles due for release next week, with the launch of the PSP on September 1st marking the biggest notable end in sight to the current release drought.
