Officials from retail chain GAME – the largest video games retailer in the UK – have announced a profit of £2.1 million ($3.5m) during the six months ended July 31. This is only the fourth time in the group’s history that the same period has recorded a profit, although results are down from last year’s figure of £3.1 million ($5.1m). The company’s turnover also rose by 8% at £231 million ($382m).
