Silicon Dreams and Asylum Entertainment have become the latest in a long line of UK developers to run into financial trouble in the last few weeks. Silicon Dreams is part of the Kaboom Group, whose ATD studio went into liquidation on Monday, and although severe cutbacks were expected it had been hopped that the developer would avoid closure. The situation at Asylum is less clear after numerous reports that the North London company had shut it doors today. Apparently Lego title Galidor has been canned, resulting in its team being laid off, but PC, Xbox and PS2 adventure Curse: The Eye of Isis is still going ahead. A spokesman for the company indicated that a “major internal shake-up” had taken place but that the developer would survive.
