Every week, sister iPhone and iPad site FingerGaming rounds up the top-grossing iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad applications, as current that day in the iTunes App Store, and this chart is now available on Gamasutra. This week's U.S. revenue charts see Tap Zoo and Restaurant Story leading iPhone sales, while Modern Combat 2 emerges as a top seller on the iPad. These charts allow end users to see who is making the most money on the App Store that day. It differs significantly from the Top 10 Games chart, which is ranked by sales, and therefore is dominated by lower-priced titles that sell more copies. Data comes courtesy of Apple's public sales information. All titles in the App Store's "Games" category are considered in chart rankings. This week's top-grossing iPhone titles are: 1. Angry Birds ($0.99) 2. Restaurant Story (Free) 3. Cut the Rope ($0.99) 4. Tap Zoo (Free) 5. Kingdoms at War (Free) 6. Haypi Kingdom (Free) 7. Baseball Superstars 2011 ($4.99) 8. Fruit Ninja ($0.99) 9. Spider-Man: Total Mayhem ($6.99) 10. We Rule Quests (Free) App Store customers gravitate toward free-to-play titles in today's chart results, as TeamLava's Restaurant Story and Streetview Labs' Tap Zoo rival reigning chart champ Angry Birds with impressive microtransaction earnings. A Thinking Ape's Kingdoms at War and Haypi Kingdom also emerge as top-grossing free-to-play titles, as Gamevil's Baseball Superstars 2011 trumps Halfbrick's updated Fruit Ninja and Gameloft's Spider-Man: Total Mayhem in its premiere week. Here are this week’s top-grossing iPad applications: 1. Angry Birds HD ($4.99) 2. Scrabble for iPad ($9.99) 3. Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus HD ($9.99) 4. Plants vs. Zombies HD ($9.99) 5. Cut the Rope HD ($1.99) 6. Fruit Ninja HD ($4.99) 7. Real Racing HD ($9.99) 8. Angry Birds Halloween HD ($4.99) 9. Treasure Seekers: Visions of Gold HD ($4.99) 10. UNO HD ($0.99) Gameloft's Modern Combat 2 surges up to third place in today's iPad charts after dropping to tenth last week, challenging longtime chart leaders Angry Birds HD and Scrabble for iPad. Backflip Studios' Ragdoll Blaster 2 disappears from the top ten after an impressive second-place debut last week, meanwhile, as newcomers Uno HD and Treasure Seekers enter the chart at ninth and tenth.
