THQ announced multi-year publishing agreement with Relic Entertainment, the developer of Homeworld and Impossible Creatures, to develop two real-time strategy games.
According to THQ, the first of the two projects that Relic will create for THQ is currently under development and will be released in the second half of 2004. No information was disclosed about the second project. "We've identified the RTS category as a strategic imperative for THQ as we begin to compete more aggressively in the high-end PC market," said Jack Sorensen, executive vice president of worldwide studios, THQ. "A two-property agreement with Relic...is the perfect entrance into that category."
