When it comes to innovation and imagination in the videogame world, Nintendo will always come to mind. The company has proved this again and again, by inventing and re-inventing itself for more than 100 years now. Today, Nintendo will show us the future with the introduction of the 3DS. This kind of handheld technology has never been introduced in the market before. But before you think that the 3D feature is the only premium quality of this handheld, think again. This portable console is packed with features you will never believe could exist in such a small package. Nintendo 3DS review

With the 3DS, Nintendo once again secured its spot as the leader in handheld videogame console innovation. The portable console will feature a parallax barrier LCD made by Sharp. In plain English, this screen is responsible for the stunning 3D effect that can only be experienced with the 3DS, without using 3D glasses. If you don't like the 3D effect for some reason, there is a 3D Depth slider accessory that can turn the depth on and off - from absolute 3D to plain old 2D display. With the 3DS, you can have both worlds.

Speaking of both worlds, the 3DS is such a special console because it is also backward compatible with old DS game cards. This makes the 3DS to have the biggest library for games starting at launch. However, DS games can be played only in 2D as of now, but who cares; there are boatloads of 3D games that will come out for the 3DS ranging from remakes to original new games.

The 3DS is also packed with free accessories, aside from the built-in motion sensors and the slide pad that will most likely to create nice and unique gameplay opportunities. Examples of these free 3DS accessories are the new telescopic stylus that fit snugly in the new portable, the charging cradle that can charge the unit even in sleep mode and the free SD card for more data storage. But if you want extra accessories to make your game play more exciting and keeping your gadget more protected, you can also buy some special packs such as the 3DS hand grips, starter kit and the hand grip for easy handling.

In addition to all of this great features, Nintendo also partnered with major carriers and content producers so you can download 3D content and be connected wirelessly at all times.
