London-based developer Splash Damage (Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars) has added to its senior development staff with several notable veterans. Dean Calver joins the team from Ninja Theory, along with fellow Heavenly Sword alum Mark Lack as senior environment artist. Fabio Bonvincini, who worked on Black and Harry Potter also joins as animation technical director, World in Conflict designer Mattias Engstrom takes the role of senior technical designer, and Mass Effect and Timesplitters 2 programmer Oliver Jauncey takes the position of senior programmer. "Despite the reported industry skills shortage, we're constantly amazed at the quality of candidates applying at Splash Damage," says studio owner Paul Wedgwood. "We're building the best team we've ever had." Splash Damage is currently working on an unannounced title with Oblivion and Fallout 3 developer Bethesda Softworks, through a recently-announced long-term partnership.
