Representatives from the U.S. Army and The Guildhall at Southern Methodist University have announced the release of the America's Army: Special Forces (Overmatch) (SMU GH map pack), an update now available from the official America's Army website. A team of five Guildhall students -- Cyndi Bell, Derek Manns, Jason Morales, Roy Orr and Rance Wood -- led by producer and lead designer Myque Ouellette and supported by Mike McCoy created the missions. Guildhall students, lecturers and administrators assisted in concept development, testing, and feedback. The new missions include SF Old Town, a U.S. Infantry raid in a small, rural, tropical village, SF Refinery, in which players infiltrate a terrorist held oil production facility, SF Flood Gate, where players secure hydroelectric facilities, and River Village, another river-bordered rural village raid. “We are proud to be a part of one of the most popular computer game series ever produced,” Dr. Peter Raad, executive director of The Guildhall at SMU, said. “It is our job to prepare our graduate students for a dream job in the real world. Our work for America's Army shows that we are accomplishing our mission.”
