Singular Inversions has released FaceGen Modeller 2.1, the company's stand-alone parametric face modeling tool for Windows. FaceGen Modeller 2.1 has over 100 shape and color/texture controls, and lets you choose between 4 different head meshes and UV layouts supplied with FaceGen. FaceGen Modeller 2.1 includes these new features:

  • Support for real-time meshes (800, 900 and 1500 polys).

    • Support for higher resolution texture maps.

    • The ability to export to Maya ASCII, Lightwave (LWO) and LipSinc HFN.

    • The ability to export the full set of animation morphs for a face in one click.

    • The ability to export textures to BMP as well as higher-quality JPG

    • Support for "detail textures" to let you add more detailed skin textures.

    • A new "Redo" feature.

    • A new "Rand Lock" feature for controlling which features are generated randomly.
