Sega Drops Sports From Gamecube
Sega today announced that it was no longer releasing its 2K sports series on the Gamecube.

Instead, it will only be releasing its sports games on the Xbox and Playstation 2. This news follows low sales of the 2K series which was outsold by Electronic Art's sports series on nearly every system. Sega has chosen instead to focus on developing its popular properties such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Monkey Ball, proven commodities that have sold well on the Gamecube.
