Representatives from Imagination Technologies have announced that the company has signed a technology licensing agreement with Sega for the development of next generation arcade game systems based on its high-end PowerVR graphics accelerator. Sega has previously used the UK company’s PowerVR technology in its Naomi and Naomi2 arcade platforms. How this move will relate to Sammy’s desire for the developer to use its own Atomiswave arcade technology is currently unclear. Source: Electronics Weekly
