Sega has announced that Ambition of the Illuminus the first expansion for its Phantasy Star Universe MMO will be coming in Fall 2007 as an Xbox 360 downloadable and retail product for PlayStation 2 and PC. Ambition of the Illuminus will give gamers access to new areas such as "the Ruins of Old Rozenom City and the subterranean Granigs Mines," as well as new and more powerful enemies and bosses, and additional class types. The expansion also features new and expanded lobby areas with new gameplay, such as Casino Voloyal, where players can take part in roulette and slots to win exclusive casino-only items. The game will also feature new weapon types, armor, Photon Arts, and clothing, and an upgraded room system with more customization options that lets players decorate and place interactive items anywhere they'd like in their own room. In addition to the new multiplayer features, Ambition of the Illuminus also adds to the single player storyline with new missions containing both new and old characters including Ethan Waber from Episode 1, and a new Guardian instructor, Laia Martinez. Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus will be available this fall over Xbox Live, for Xbox 360 players, and in stores for the PlayStation 2 and PC.
