Representatives from online/casual PC game developer Sarbakan, have announced that the company has begun a CA$3 million ($2.44m) investment program over five years, to expand its Quebec studio operations and hire new personnel. As well as being a registered Xbox developer, although not yet with any titles to its name, the company creates games content for clients such as Warner Bros., AOL, WB Kids, ABC, Hasbro, Viacom and Sony. The company also has its own roster of intellectual properties including Firechild, Good Night Mr. Snoozleberg, The Black Squirrel, Arcane and Steppenwolf. "The demand for our Web based game products has grown tremendously over the last six months", said Guy Boucher, president and executive producer of Sarbakan. According to Boucher, these investments will benefit both Sarbakan's service productions and the studio's own original IP development efforts while ensuring the company's long term growth.
