Gamasutra's weekly column, "Saling The World", covers the top five sellers for every available platform in the United States, Japan, and Europe, providing an important update of sales patterns worldwide. This week's charts, with data taken from January 27th, 2011, find Just Dance 2, Zumba Fitness, and FIFA 11 leading multiplatform sales in North America and the UK, while Valkyria Chronicles 3 overtakes Monster Hunter Portable 3rd in Japan. Data for "Saling The World" comes courtesy of the public sales information on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, and Amazon.co.jp, with sales split out for each platform and territory, and pre-orders disregarded. Majesco's exercise game Zumba Fitness climbs to second place in today's North American multiplatform sales results after entering the charts at fourth place last week. Just Dance 2 retakes the top spot, while last week's sales champion LittleBigPlanet 2 drops out of the top five in its second week of release. Sega's Valkyria Chronicles sequel Senjou no Valkyria 3 tops the Japanese charts in its premiere week, pushing Monster Hunter Portable 3rd to second place. FIFA 11 reclaims top honors in the UK, meanwhile, as the Nintendo DS drawing application Art Academy charts behind Just Dance 2 at third place. Nintendo Wii North America: 1. Elsewhere, Mistwalker's The Last Story dominates platform sales in Japan in its first week of release, while a price-dropped Lego Batman competes with the Just Dance series in Europe.
