Gamasutra's weekly column, "Saling The World", covers the top five sellers for every available platform in the United States, Japan, and Europe, providing an important update of sales patterns worldwide. This week's charts, with data taken from November 11th, 2010, find Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops leading domestic cross-platform sales in its debut week, as Tactics Ogre is off to an impressive start in Japan. Data for "Saling The World" comes courtesy of the public sales information on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, and Amazon.co.jp, with sales split out for each platform and territory, and pre-orders disregarded. This results in a true sense of what games are selling worldwide on the real-time updated service, as follows: Multiplatform North America: 1. Call of Duty: Black Ops (Activision, X360), 2. Call of Duty: Black Ops premieres as this week's top software seller in the United States and the UK, with the Xbox 360 edition emerging as the most popular version in both regions. Kinect software sales are strong stateside even as the peripheral remains in short supply, as Kinect Sports and Dance Central rank among the week's top domestic sellers. Square Enix's PSP remake of the classic strategy-RPG Tactics Ogre heads cross-platform sales in Japan, meanwhile, as Nintendo's Super Mario Collection remains a big seller at third place. A reissued Forza Motorsport 3 tops the week's results in Japan, as Black Ops manages to overtake longtime regional chart leader FIFA 11 in Europe. PlayStation 3 North America: 1.
