A series of believable sounding rumors have emerged from Japan, regarding the launch of the Nintendo DS portable console. According to unconfirmed reports Nintendo is planning to launch the format on November 4th in Japan at a price of ¥19,000 ($174), followed by a US launch on November 11th at $179.95. A European release would follow in early 2005. The launch will allegedly be accompanied by five to six titles, with Nintendo aiming to have a total of eleven on the market before the end of the year. The company reportedly aims to sell three million units of the console by the end of its fiscal year in March 2005 – by which time the machine will likely be released in all three major territories.
