Realviz has been busy this holiday season, and recently announced the release of upgraded versions of its Matchmover, Imagemodeler, and Retimer software. To go along with the recent upgrades, Realviz is offering a 10% discount on all of its products until the end of December. Matchmover is designed to reduce the cost of combining live-action footage with computer-generated models and special effects. It allows mixed 2-D and 3-D image sequences to be created quickly using cameras in motion. Matchmover 2.0 has a new graph editor, it allows the importing of textured meshes, the exporting of framerates, it adds new 3D primitive helpers and it has improvements in 2d tracking, camera rotation and manipulator alignment. Instead of modeling complicated geometry, materials and lighting from scratch, Imagemodeler allows developers to produce virtual 3-D models from photo, video and cinematic images. The new release of Imagemodeler for Cult3D is the first high-end image based modeler to produce photo-realistic 3D models from photos for the web, or applications like Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Retimer allows users to slow down, speed up or adjust timing of image sequences and create motion sequences from a series of stills in post-production, using a unique technology. Retimer 2.0 offers a new engine, speed and workflow increases, new editing tools, and support for wider image formats with its new OS support for NT, Linux and Irix.
