REALVIZ recently announced that it would offer a reduced price on ImageModeler to all new customers of Maya Complete and Maya Unlimited, Alias Wavefront's animation and effects creation software. ImageModeler provides computer graphics professionals with intuitive and innovative image-based solutions to complex production challenges for the creation of graphics and visual effects for film, broadcast, game development and the Internet. ImageModeler offers image-based modeling techniques without expensive scanning hardware, or special camera equipment. By importing as few as two photographs of an object or a scene, ImageModeler will assist the artist in generating a 3D model and texture map based on data derived from the pictures. These image-based techniques offer advantages to artists using Maya Unlimited in creating photo-real computer generated effects. Until the end of June, customers will have 30 days after the purchase of Maya Complete, Maya Unlimited or an upgrade from Complete to Unlimited, to buy ImageModeler for $2000, a 60 percent discount off the normal price. This version of ImageModeler that is being made available through this special offer exports exclusively to Maya.
