"From our first conversation with Sam, we could tell he was the perfect choice." Raimi, a five-time Academy Award nominee, also wrote and directed The Evil Dead, produced 30 Days Of Night, and most recently wrote and directed supernatural horror flick Drag Me To Hell. "At its core, Warcraft is a fantastic, action-packed story," says Raimi. "I am thrilled to work with such a dynamite production team to bring this project to the big screen." He'll be working with producer Charles Roven, whose production credits include The Dark Knight. "I am thrilled to work with such a dynamite production team to bring this project to the big screen," says Raimi. He'll also partner with Blizzard's senior VP of creative development, Chris Metzen, who'll serve as co-producer with Raimi and his partner, Robert Tapert. "Sam knows how to simultaneously satisfy the enthusiasts and the mainstream audience that might be experiencing that content for the first time," says Blizzard's Sams. "We’re looking forward to working with him to achieve that here."
