Quazal, a provider of online multiplayer components for PC and console games, has released new versions of the Quazal Rendez-Vous matchmaking service and the Net-Z networking solution for 2006. The most visible addition to Rendez-Vous 2006 is its interface into the new Quazal Spark!. By combining the two, developers can speed up lobby development, achieving features such as full account management, friends list, matchmaking and statistics in days. By using the features of Spark! as a template, developers can see how to extend these features to cover more advanced functionality. Developers looking to add unique elements to their online lobby systems can use the concepts in Rendez-Vous and integrate them into their existing Spark! UI. Quazal's Net-Z in-game networking solution joins Rendez-Vous in its new naming convention, with Net-Z 2006. Through combined use of these technologies, developers and publishers can benefit from improved NAT traversal for peer-to-peer gaming, with higher connectivity for users. Quazal will be occupying booth #644 at the Game Developers Conference in San Jose, March 22nd to 24th. Any interested parties are encouraged to contact them in order to arrange a meeting, or to visit the booth to learn more about the products.
