Quazal announced the release of Quazal Net-Z 2.5, the latest version of the company's distributed game state engine for multiplayer games. Designed for game developers who are looking to add multiplayer functionality to their titles, the new version adds the following features:
Frameworks. Quazal Net-Z 2.5 ships with RealTime 3D, a series of foundation classes representing game objects.
Middleware plug-ins for Criterion's RenderWare graphics and Havok's Havok Hardcore physics middleware. These plug-ins are designed to enhance performance and compatibility between Net-Z and third-party middleware products.
Expanded platform support for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox game console platforms. Quazal Net-Z 2.5 is available now from Quazal's web site. Pricing information was not disclosed.
