Despite negative comments from Japanese analysts sales for the PSX multimedia device are reportedly brisk, in its first week on sale. Japanese daily newspaper Mainichi Shimbun has reported that the initial shipment has almost sold out and that queues have been forming for the device at major retailers – with many customers unable to purchase the machine due to a large number of pre-orders.
