Following last week's firmware update for its PlayStation 3 console, Sony has released its latest firmware update for the PSP, version 3.5, which introduces a pair of new features, including the promised Remote Play connectivity between both the handheld and the PlayStation 3. Once installed, when partnered with a PlayStation 3 console updated with the latest 1.80 firmware, Remote Play functionality will allow PSP users to access their home console remotely from any available wireless connection to stream music, photos, and videos. Also introduced with the latest PSP update is an index of RSS audio and video feeds, which is now accessible from the handheld's XrossMediaBar. Sony has also announced the latest additions to its PlayStation 3's PlayStation Store, including the arcade classic Championship Sprint, as well as free tutorial videos for MLB 07 The Show and additional downloadable content for Namco's arcade racer Ridge Racer 7 with new special events, decals and beats. New theatrical trailers for Hot Rod and Ratatouille have been added to the service as well.
