Following the 2005 acquisition of British publisher Eidos by fellow British publisher SCi, representatives from SCi have settled on using Agresso's Business World as the company's single unified ERP (enterprise resource plan) solution. Prior to the acquisition, SCi had been using Microsoft's J.D. Edwards One World ERP, while Eidos utilized Agresso's solution. Agresso targets companies between $50 million to $1 billion in revenue with its enterprise software solutions. Agresso Business World 5.5 is a fully-integrated Financials, Human Resources, Payroll, Project Cost/Billing, Procurement, Analytics and Reporting ERP system. According to Agresso, SCi opted to switch over to the Business World ERP solution due to its capability to “change on-the-fly and its ability to become a scalable tool that can change with a customer without costly and time-consuming upgrades.” In a note issued by Agresso, Eidos representatives were cited as having praised Agresso's ERP solution for its “change-oriented architecture”, which offered “much faster and less expensive implementation.” According to the company, the implementation of Agresso's financial management tools took just two months to complete, contrary to expectations of a much longer deployment schedule.
